The Jefferson Running Club

The Running club starts next MONDAY, September 18, 2023 and runs through May 10, 2024.

NO signup required - everyone receives a badge to track their laps.

DAILY

• From 7:50 to 8:05 AM. Participants welcome anytime during Running Club.

• Run - walk - skip - jump! 6 times around the track = 1 mile.

• Volunteers scan badges after every lap. To volunteer, please pick up a volunteer package from front office.

• Track your runner’s progress via StrideTrack.net app, available for iOS and Android.

• No badge = no mileage. Missing badge? We have emergency badges on-site for one-time use. Please ensure your child brings their badge EVERY DAY. If lost, replacement badges cost $1.

WEEKLY

• Runners receive a popsicle EVERY 10 MILES based on mileage from the FRIDAY before.

• Popsicles: Wednesday, Dolphin Square, for 15 minutes after school. Child must turn in a popsicle stick to get their popsicle.

MARATHONS

• Every 26.2 miles, your child will receive a marathon bracelet and a certificate for their first marathon.

• After achieving 60 miles (grades 1st & 2nd) and 70 miles (grades 3rd thru 5th) your child receives an invite to the Running Club Party held near the end of school (plus they receive a t-shirt!)

We are committed to providing an environment where each child is given the opportunity to reach his or her academic potential by providing enrichment programs in the areas of art, music, science, and health.

PTA organizes and pays for educational and enrichment activities (running club, field trips, assemblies, etc.) and family social gatherings (movie night, STEM night, multicultural night, etc.) for Jefferson students and families!

One way to support our school and show our children how we value their learning and bring us all is together is to join the PTA!

One membership costs $15 and all membership dues are 100% tax deductible (TAX ID 95-6204301)

Goals and Rewards:

Goal: 791 members. If we reach our goal, there will be a school-wide reward!

Classes with 80% membership by November 10th will receive a popsicle party!

Classes with 100% membership by November 10th will receive a pizza party!

Who Can Join?

Anyone who wants to support Jefferson students can join the PTA! We encourage parents, guardians, students, relatives, staff, and other community members to sign up.
